Union County Small Animal Emergency Sheltering Course
Florida State Animal Response Coalition (FL SARC), in partnerships with Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services & the Florida State Agriculture Response Team (www.FLSART.org) and UF/IFAS Extension Office of Union County are pleased to offer a Grant Funded Awareness Level 1 Small Animal Disaster and Emergency Sheltering class for all of Union and surrounding Counties.
This Awareness Level (Level 1) class will give you the knowledge, expertise and practical experience you need to work in an emergency/evacuation animal shelter. This course is also required to become a deployment member of FL SARC’s incident response team.
FEMA Approved: This course meets the standards set by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
Certified/Accredited by the Florida Department of Emergency Management.
Classes are open to the public but State, County, City employees will be given attendance preference.

SPCA Florida is pleased to offer the Level 1 Small Animal Emergency & Disaster Sheltering Course. Learn from the creators of this FEMA Approved and FDEM Certified training.
Prerequisites: 18 years of age or older
Students 16-18 may register with parent or guardian
This Awareness Level (Level 1) class will give you the knowledge, expertise and practical experience you need to work in an emergency animal shelter and become a disaster responder with FL SARC.
